Micro-market in Lyon

From 4 to 7 April 2013, the Lozère Tourist Board organised a micro market at place Bellecourt in Lyon.

A tent was reserved for St Guilhem Way’s stand and it was animated by Isabelle Plane and Pierre Muller, despite a Siberian cold and persistent humidity!

But in spite of these winter weather conditions, the Lyonnais welcomed this representation of Lozère, coming to meet them at home.

The new brochures and logbooks of the chemin de St Guilhem disappeared like hot cakes and the exchanges were fruitful for interested people. Many seniors already knew this route or had heard of it.

In any case everyone knew the village of St Guilhem le Désert in the Hérault, the arrival point of the route. The cirque de Navacelles is second in the list of well known places with, of course, the inevitable Gorges du Tarn.

We met many people who intend to go “goüter(taste) the St Guilhem” and breathe clean air. More pure than the one in Lyon, which sometimes has alarming pollution levels.

We must congratulate the CDT of Lozére for this interesting initiative which demanded a significant investment and a consequential energy expenditure!
